We are looking for a driven and curious Data Scientist who wants to use advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve real business challenges with tangible impact. You will join an AI team that works on both building the technical prerequisites for AI and developing concrete solutions that create value in the business. The work includes, among other things, analyzing large datasets, travel patterns, customer behaviors, customer feedback, and other data-driven questions.

About the Assignment

As a Data Scientist, you are responsible for data science solutions from idea to implementation. This means you work with the entire chain, from problem formulation and stakeholder dialogue to data collection, method selection, analysis, model development, visualization, and deployment or implementation.

You will work with both classic machine learning, data analysis, and generative AI. The role requires that you can choose the right method for the right problem and that you are accustomed to translating complex business needs into clear, usable, and value-creating solutions.

The assignment is for one year initially, with good opportunities for extension over several years. You will be employed by Let’s Gig and hired as a consultant to our client.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, insights, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement machine learning models for practical business problems.
• Work with generative AI for, for example, text analysis, customer insights, or other applications.
• Build analytics solutions in cloud platforms, such as Azure.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Power BI.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand needs and formulate solutions.
• Contribute to the development of working methods, platforms, and technical prerequisites for data science and AI.

Requirements

• You have a Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or a similar field with a focus on machine learning, data science, or AI.
• You have at least 2 years of work experience in the role of Data Scientist.
• You have at least 2 years of work experience in development using Python.
• You have at least 2 years of experience developing data science or analytics solutions within one or more cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure.
• You have at least 1 year of work experience implementing machine learning methods to solve practical problems.
• You have experience with Power BI from at least 2 assignments.
• You can work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• You can work on-site in Stockholm at least 50 percent of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using generative AI to solve actual business problems from at least one assignment.
• At least 1 year of work experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders from at least one assignment or project.
• Experience with modern analytics platforms in Azure.
• Experience with geodata, such as Esri or similar platforms.
• Experience from transport, traffic, public infrastructure, or other data-intensive operations.
• Experience working in agile teams.

Workplace and Scope

• Planned start: August 10, 2026.
• Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Location: Stockholm, Kungsholmen.
• Work arrangement: Hybrid. The assignment allows for both remote work and office work, but requires at least 50 percent office presence. Exact days and times are determined by business needs.
• Equipment: Computer and workspace at the office are provided.
