Jefferson Wells is now recruiting junior buyers with a tactical and strategic focus for consulting assignments with leading companies in the high-tech industry in the Linköping region. You will become part of operations where procurement is a key function and where you will have the opportunity to build both your analytical and business skills in close collaboration with experienced colleagues. Please note that the position requires you to undergo and pass a security clearance.

As a Junior Buyer, you work in the borderland between operational and strategic procurement. You support and develop procurement work through analyses, supplier contacts, and participation in sourcing and improvement initiatives. You will work with both strategic elements - such as analyses and decision support - and more tactical tasks related to supplier selection, price negotiations, and category work. The role gives you a broad understanding of how procurement affects the entire value chain in complex and technology-driven operations.

• Market and supplier analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement
• Sourcing activities, requests for quotation, and supplier evaluation
• Support in negotiations and contract work together with more experienced buyers
• Price dialogues and simpler tactical negotiations for recurring purchases
• Follow-up of supplier performance, quality, and delivery security
• Preparation of analyses and decision support related to procurement and category strategies
• Cost analyses and identification of efficiency and saving opportunities
• Contribution to category management through data collection, analysis, and recommendations
• Participation in the development of procurement processes and working methods

Your profile We are looking for you who are analytical, curious, and business-oriented, with a desire to develop within tactical and strategic procurement. You thrive in a role where you get to combine analysis, communication, and collaboration, and where you gradually take on more responsibility. You are good at seeing connections, drawing conclusions, and turning data into concrete insights. At the same time, you build trusting relationships and work systematically to contribute to efficient and well-functioning procurement processes.

• Higher education or university degree in procurement, economics, logistics, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent
• Up to three years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or a similar field
• Good analytical skills and interest in business-driven decisions
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience with business systems and Excel is meritorious
