Welcome to the Department of Health and Prevention! We have a unique responsibility for initiatives in the areas of health promotion and preventive work, where we implement decided measures according to the Social Services Act and carry out measures according to the Health and Medical Services Act.

Important cornerstones in the department's work are to develop new forms of social community and participation in society. The department has a special assignment focused on increasing quality of life, countering involuntary loneliness among our elderly and violence in close relationships, as well as developing new forms for these areas of work.

We are now looking for an engaged companion and substitute for a fixed-term position to join our team. Job Responsibilities

As a companion/substitute, you work to provide support and good service to our users and their individual needs and wishes. You carry out day-to-day, planned support measures and activities together with the user. The support measures should promote the user's integrity and participation and are carried out with respect for the user's self-determination. The user's needs should be at the center, and the person's views should be actively taken into account. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivational approach in close collaboration with the user's network and other staff, where your main tool is inspiration and motivation.

All support measures are based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with the Social Services Act and the City of Malmö's value base.

You work systematically and with social documentation. You collaborate with your colleagues and other actors to ensure that the right support is given. Together with our users, implementation plans are developed that form the basis for how the work should be structured.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are clear in your communication and have a consultative working style, both in individual interventions and in groups. Engagement, proactivity, as well as a solution- and development focus, together with a high service ability, we see as central prerequisites for taking on the role of companion/substitute with us.

Your working style is characterized by flexibility, continuity, and the ability to create security for the user. You possess good structural skills and want to be involved in developing the operations. We also appreciate that you share our values, work towards set goals, and contribute to continuous improvement work.

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a completed upper secondary education
  • Can cycle
  • Have good computer skills
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious if you have:

  • Post-secondary education with a pedagogical focus
  • Work experience from pedagogical work
  • Work experience in handling and service
