Description of duties

As a primary school teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for students in grades F-3 in accordance with the curriculum (Lgr22). You create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.

The role includes:

  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in several subjects, with a focus on students' knowledge development and desire to learn.
  • Mapping, assessing, and documenting students' knowledge, and adapting teaching based on individual needs.
  • Working with language-developing methods and strengthening students' basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
  • Exercising clear, structured, and broad leadership in the classroom where the quality of teaching is central.
  • Actively working for study peace, order, and clear frameworks that benefit students' learning and development.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, after-school centers, forums, and student health teams to promote students' development and well-being.
  • Maintain close and trusting collaboration with guardians.
  • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to the school's continued development.

We place great emphasis on collaboration and see collegial work as a success factor. You see the team before the individual and work from a holistic perspective on the operation, where common goals and the school's development are in focus. "Together" is an important keyword – you actively contribute in your forum and are ready to support where the operation's needs arise. You are expected to work from the core value that "all students belong to everyone," which means you take responsibility not only for your own teaching but also for the school's combined mission and students' entire school day.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach in primary school (F-3) and documented competence in language, reading, writing, and mathematics development in early ages.

  • Experience in documenting according to current guidelines.
  • Good knowledge of NPD and the ability to translate this into your teaching and interactions to create the best possible conditions for all students.
  • Good knowledge of adaptations in learning environments and teaching.
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum (Lgr22) and steering documents.

You are flexible and easily adapt teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. You are clear in your communication, both in the classroom and in contact with students and guardians, and ensure that instructions and expectations are understandable. You have a good holistic view and look at the student's entire development, while also contributing to the school's joint work and goals.
