WORK ASSIGNMENTS

The Introduction Programmes at Westerlundska Gymnasium offer you a job in an operation that focuses on the student and is characterized by continuous development. The school is a workplace with a safe and welcoming atmosphere and colleagues with great commitment to their tasks. The environment is permissive, challenging, and creative with good conditions for needs-adapted teaching.

You will primarily teach Swedish and another subject for the later years of compulsory school within the Introduction Programme. Here, we often work closely with our colleagues, which may involve joint planning, joint grading, and joint assessment. We have classroom teaching with a strong focus on the individual. You will also be a mentor for a number of students and work as a resource where needed. You will be part of a work team with many subject competencies, all of whom teach compulsory school subjects.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are qualified and certified as a teacher in Swedish for compulsory school and upper secondary school. It is meritorious if you also have qualifications in another subject. Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is required for the position.

As a person, you are clear, sensitive, and show respect for the students' needs. You have the ability to plan the pedagogical work with the goal of meeting the needs of all students. You should be able to work independently, be initiative-taking and flexible, secure and stable, and have good pedagogical insight and be able to vary your working methods.

You are an experienced, self-reliant person who sees opportunities. You find it easy to collaborate and have a well-developed communicative ability. You find it easy to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues alike.
