Tiundaskolan is a municipal school offering preschool class through grade 9. The school is located in Luthagen with approximately 600 students and 70 employees. The school has a comprehensive student health team that works preventively and promotes health. Tiundaskolan is part of the Wellbeing Program. We want you to share our fundamental view on the equal value and equal rights of all people in society. Tiundaskolan also has an after-school center consisting of approximately 65 students.

Description of Duties

We are looking for an engaged and inspiring teacher in Swedish as a Second Language who wants to help create the best conditions for our students to succeed. In this role, you will teach students in grades 4–9 and become an important part of our work teams, where collaboration, development, and the student's best interests are at the center.

As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to use your subject expertise and creativity to spark joy in language, strengthen students' self-confidence, and contribute to their knowledge development. You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the curriculum and regulatory documents, while working to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. The role also includes mentorship, where you will have the opportunity to follow and support students' development both academically and socially.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher or are undergoing training to become a primary school teacher. You have or are acquiring the qualification to teach Swedish as a second language. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in your work. You find it easy to establish contact with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you value maintaining these relationships. With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. In your teaching, you try to adapt to each student.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
