Sverkerskolan is a school for grades F-9 located in the heart of Luthagen. The lower primary school is housed in two beautiful school buildings from the early 1900s. The school has expanded upwards in age groups into nearby premises that have also been renovated. Sverkerskolan has long been an stimulating and developmental environment for students and staff. The school has a long tradition of pedagogical development and innovation. Description of duties

As a teacher in this position, you teach grades 4–6 with a focus on natural sciences. You are responsible for planning and conducting teaching that sparks students' curiosity for science and contributes to their knowledge development. The assignment may also include teaching in our preparatory class and/or in special education groups.

You are given the opportunity to make a real difference for our students by contributing your competence, knowledge, and engagement. With the student's learning and development at the center, you work to ensure the school achieves its goals. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching in accordance with the curriculum and other regulatory documents, in close collaboration with colleagues.

Together, you create a safe and stimulating learning environment where all students are given the prerequisites to thrive and develop based on their individual needs. You have a particular interest in motivating students and adapting teaching, not least for students in need of special support.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license or are awaiting a license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 and in science subjects. You have good knowledge of the school's regulatory documents as well as the primary school curriculum. Good oral and written skills in Swedish are a prerequisite for the position. Experience with language-developing working methods is an advantage. IT skills with a focus on pedagogical work are also seen as beneficial. We are looking for you who are pedagogical, proactive, and have a good understanding that students have different ways of acquiring knowledge. You are flexible, solution-focused, and see opportunities in changes.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
