You will work at the sister schools Stavby Skola and Tuna Skola, one day per week at each school. We have small teaching groups and are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license with eligibility to teach music in grades 4–9. The role also involves collaborating with other school staff to create a good working environment and to conduct adapted pedagogical activities based on both individual and group needs and conditions. You will work with a flexible and professional teaching team with the student in focus.

Description of Duties

As a teacher in this position, you teach the subject of music. You have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your competence, knowledge, and engagement to help the school reach its goals, with the student at the center. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work according to the curriculum and other governing documents.

We strive for collegial learning, where you develop the operations in close collaboration with your colleagues. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual conditions. This is a fixed-term part-time position at 50%, with a start date from 2026-08-10 to 2027-06-17. You will work 1 full day per school per week.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license or are currently awaiting licensure for the specified grades and subjects. The position requires good knowledge of the school's governing documents as well as the compulsory school curriculum. Good oral and written skills in Swedish are a prerequisite for the position. IT skills with a focus on pedagogical work are meritorious.

In your role, you take initiative and launch activities that lead to good results. As a person, you adapt easily to changed circumstances. You have the ability to quickly change your perspective and approach, and you see opportunities in changes. You have a good understanding that students have different conditions for absorbing knowledge. In your teaching, you strive to adapt your learning methods to the students.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
