Malmaskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 400 students distributed across two parallel grade levels. Malmaskolan is located in the heart of Norby in southwestern Uppsala. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, and there is walking distance to beautiful nature in both Stadsskogen and Hågadalen. Malmaskolan is characterized by safety, stability, and good results. Our staff are engaged and experienced and have good subject knowledge.

The position is a temporary substitute position for the period 2026-08-11 to 2026-12-18.

Description of duties

As a teacher in this position, you teach grades F-3 in all theoretical subjects. The position includes mentorship for a class. You will have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your competence, knowledge, and engagement to work with the student at the center to help the school achieve its goals. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work according to the curriculum and other governing documents.

We strive for collegial learning where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues, develop the operations. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual prerequisites.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license or are awaiting a license with eligibility to teach in grades F-3. To succeed in the work, you need to have good knowledge of the school's governing documents as well as the primary school curriculum. The work requires that you have good oral and written skills in Swedish.

We would like you to have experience working with language-developing methods. If you have IT skills with a focus on pedagogical work, this is seen as meritorious.

You are proactive in your teaching role and drive teaching forward by creating structure and engagement in the classroom. You are flexible and adapt easily to changed conditions and students' different needs. With your pedagogical insight, you have a good understanding of how students acquire knowledge and can adapt your way of conveying content so that it becomes clear, relevant, and developmental for each student.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Alien Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on the war establishment (krigsplacering).

Salary form: Monthly salary.
