Valsätraskolan has 930 students and three parallel classes in each grade in the lower secondary stage (grades 1-3). The school is located approximately 4 km south of the city center.

Description of Duties

We are looking for a lower secondary school teacher for grades 1-3. You will primarily teach Swedish and English. A significant part of the role will involve teaching Mathematics in full classes and split classes. Your task will be to work towards high goal achievement in Mathematics. Currently, the role does not include class teacher responsibility, but good collaboration with the class teachers is a necessary prerequisite for success in the position.

Qualifications

We are seeking a lower secondary school teacher with qualifications in Swedish, English, and Mathematics. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a sensitive and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in your work, and you find it easy to establish and maintain relationships. With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge, and therefore you adapt your method of conveying messages to the recipient.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
