Do you want to help shape the church of the future where the city meets the countryside? We are now looking for an engaged parish priest for Gårdsby parish within the Växjö deanery. Here, the best of two worlds meets – the proximity to the city of Växjö and the tranquility of the Småland countryside. Sandsbro is the main town of the parish, an expanding part of Växjö with growing life and community.

Gårdsby parish has a large and vibrant children's and youth ministry with many confirmands. You will have the opportunity to celebrate services in the large church during holidays and in the smaller chapel for close and personal occasions. You will become part of a well-functioning team that collaborates closely with colleagues in the Northern area, and together we work to unite tradition and renewal in parish life.

We are looking for you who are an ordained priest in the Church of Sweden and who enjoy meeting people of all ages. You have a special commitment to children, youth, and confirmands, but also to worship, parish building, and diaconal work. We see that you have the ability to work independently and flexibly, while also valuing collaboration and long-term changes. Opportunities for leadership roles may exist, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

With us, you will have good conditions to work as a parish priest in an environment that constantly seeks new ways to be a church. A driver's license is required for the position. Appointments are made on a rolling basis.
