The Communication and Marketing Department has overall responsibility for coordinating and developing Karlshamn Municipality's communication work. The department is in the midst of a development journey where you will have the opportunity to contribute your personality and knowledge within communication, with a particular focus on content production, graphic production, and marketing.

Job Responsibilities

As a communicator with us, you work both strategically and operationally. You plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives, develop communication plans, and produce content in various channels. You work with text, image, and design and are accustomed to creating clear and target-group-adapted information/communication.

Together with colleagues and in close collaboration with experts within the municipality's administrations and operations, you work proactively with various communication initiatives.

You have special responsibility for supporting one of the municipality's administrations, but together with your colleagues in the department, you actively work to improve the communicative conditions within all operations.

Examples of tasks

• Plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives.
• Content production, such as articles, press invitations, and press releases, as well as creating and publishing web content, graphic material, and social media assets.
• Graphic production, such as design of posters, printed materials, etc.
• Photography and filming.
• Marketing in various channels.
• Advertising.

Requirements for the position

• University or college education in communication or media, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Several years of experience in qualified work with communication and marketing.
• Experience with web publishing and working in CMS platforms such as Sitevision and WordPress.
• Experience working with social media and advertising in Ads Manager.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
• Very good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

You have a curious and engaged communication style. You are skilled at capturing the essence of contexts and thereby contributing qualitative support within communication for the operations.

As a person, you are structured and have an easy time creating order around you.

About the Workplace

The department consists of three communicators and a communication manager who together coordinate and develop Karlshamn Municipality's communication and provide strategic and operational support to managers and employees. The department is located in the town hall in Karlshamn.
