Alcohol and Tobacco Case Officer in Karlskrona

We are currently recruiting for one Alcohol and Tobacco Case Officer. As a case officer, you will report directly to the Director of Administration at the Social and Functional Support Administration. Your physical workplace is in the Ruthensparre City Hall.

Responsibilities

The position reports directly to the Director of Administration. Your main responsibilities will include processing and investigating cases regarding permits for alcohol service and tobacco sales, as well as planning and conducting supervision in accordance with the Alcohol Act. You will collaborate with other authorities such as the Police, the Swedish Tax Agency, and the Rescue Services.

The role involves checking the personal suitability of permit holders, the companies' finances, and the sources of funding for their operations. The role also includes investigating financial matters, such as reviewing annual reports, bookkeeping, limited company regulations, and auditing rules.

Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening, night, and weekend shifts are also required in connection with supervision duties.

Qualifications

  • A law degree or another university education with a comparable legal focus, or alternatively, another university education combined with several years of experience in legal work/qualified investigative work that the employer deems relevant for the position.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Several years of current experience in case processing and investigation.
  • Several years of current experience in exercising public authority.
  • Very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both in writing and speech.

Merits

Experience and knowledge of financial auditing, such as work with annual reports, bookkeeping rules, limited company regulations, and auditing rules. Experience working in a customer- and service-oriented business, as well as experience working as a lawyer or in other relevant legal roles. Knowledge of the Alcohol Act and experience in processing and investigating cases according to the Alcohol Act are also considered merits.
