As part of our operations, Folkuniversitetet, among many other things, carries out several different initiatives on behalf of the Swedish Public Employment Service, one of which is "Rusta och Matcha" (Prepare and Match). The purpose of this initiative is to help job seekers move on to employment or further regular studies. We are now looking for a person who is ready to work with this assignment in Olofström during the summer period.
In the role of Job Coach, you are responsible for helping our participants find a job, or alternatively helping the job seeker move on to regular studies. The work involves a very strong focus on the surrounding labor market, and the main part of your time will be spent contacting employers, matching your participants with vacant positions, establishing employer networks, and selling your participants' competencies.
Qualifications
Alternative 1
- Education: University education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system).
- Work Experience: At least two (2) years of full-time work experience. Part-time work may also be accepted if the total accumulated working time corresponds to full-time over two (2) years.
Alternative 2
- Education: At least one (1) year of full-time post-secondary studies with at least a passing grade.
- Work Experience: At least three (3) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following professions or tasks:
- Recruitment.
- Study and career guidance.
- Processing of personnel matters (not solely personnel administration).
- Work with labor market and employment issues.
- Career guidance.
Part-time work may also be accepted if the total accumulated working time corresponds to full-time over three (3) years.
Responsibilities
- Support and motivate the target group to become self-sufficient through work or studies.
- Work coaching with individuals and groups; therefore, you must have a good ability to adapt methods and interventions based on the individual's or group's needs.
- Create job plans, plan, and follow up on interventions for the individual.
- Collaborate with internal and external actors. You will work with external actors such as employers in various industries and authorities such as district administrations, employment offices, and Job Centers, so good collaboration skills are essential.
- Document your work well according to current contractual rules. Good knowledge and experience of working primarily in Word, but also Excel and PowerPoint, are required.

We want you, as an applicant for the Job Coach position, to have a very clear outward-facing profile. You should enjoy contacting employers, using the phone as a work tool, presenting the competencies your participants have to offer, and striving to solve each assignment quickly and efficiently to ensure the individual you work with gets a job.
As a person, you are communicative, solution-focused, and motivated by achieving results in your work. It is an advantage if you already today have good knowledge of the local and regional labor market in the area and good contacts with employers in various industries.
About the Position
The position is a summer replacement of 50 % during weeks 32–35. You will have your workplace in Olofström. Questions regarding the position should be directed to Andreas Svernedal, Operations Manager.
