About the Workplace
Are you ready for a larger assignment?
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest agency with approximately 40,700 employees nationwide. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
Police Region Stockholm
Police Region Stockholm consists of Stockholm County and Gotland. The operations in the region are organized into four police districts: North, City, South, and Gotland, which together are divided into 19 local police districts. Furthermore, there are four regional units: the Border Police, the Operational Unit, the Intelligence Unit, and the Investigation Unit, as well as a regional office. The region also includes the HR Section and the Communications Section, both of which report directly to the Regional Chief of Police.
Approximately 9,000 employees work in Police Region Stockholm. The HR Section in Region Stockholm consists of approximately 100 employees responsible for three business areas: Recruitment and Staffing, Competence Development, and Business-oriented HR. Business-oriented HR, where this function is included, works with areas such as competency supply and development, labor law, wage formation, leadership and employee relations, as well as work environment and culture. As an HR Specialist in Employer Development and Wage Formation, you will support HR Partners and work on assignments for the entire region.
Job Responsibilities
As an HR Specialist, you will among other things work with labor law issues such as interpretation of laws and agreements, support in negotiations, and collaboration with employee organizations. You serve as a particular support to HR Partners who in turn work with management groups and managers within the police region. In some matters, you work in direct collaboration with the region's leadership and managers. You work with the entire wage process from planning, analysis, and support to managers, to implementation, negotiation, and follow-up.
Your assignment also includes monitoring the external environment and translating and implementing nationally developed strategies and processes with a focus on activities that support and strengthen managers in their role as employer representatives and leaders. The assignment may also include participation in national networks, projects, and development work. In all work, you should contribute your experience and competence with the best interests of the Swedish Police Authority in focus.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- An academic degree in the personnel field or another area that the employer deems relevant.
- At least one year of experience in HR work with corresponding job responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of labor law.
- Experience of collaboration and negotiation with employee organizations.
- Experience of working with wage formation and the wage revision process.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience of a corresponding function within public operations or alternatively within a large and complex organization.
- Experience of labor law within the public sector.
- Experience of planning and conducting training.
- Experience of independently driving development assignments.
- Knowledge of working time legislation.
Personal Qualities
To thrive in the assignment, you should be secure and well-rooted in your HR role. You drive your work forward independently and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt to changed circumstances. You have good analytical skills and the ability to see your role in a larger context.
It is important that you are unpretentious and that you have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and handle them in an adequate manner. Furthermore, your ability for integrity is of great importance for this function within HR and the Swedish Police Authority.
