About Us

On May 1, 2025, the Administrative Department was formed at one of the three faculties at Örebro University, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HS). The department's main task is to develop the administrative operations at the faculty and to provide efficient administrative support to the academic staff and the institutions belonging to the faculty. The department includes resources such as study counselors, education and research administrators, business developers, investigators, and VFU coordinators.

As part of the administrative department, there is the Unit for Research and Education Support. Within the unit, there are education and research administrators as well as VFU coordinators who provide administrative support within the institutions belonging to the faculty.

We are now looking for a fixed-term position as an Education and Research Administrator for the Unit for Education and Research Support.

Responsibilities

The position of Education and Research Administrator is a service-oriented administrative role involving providing administrative support in various areas. The tasks vary and include course administration, examinations, decisions by deans and unit heads, scheduling, individual study plans (ISP), administrative support to the supervisor group, research websites, and conferences.

The role also includes taking minutes in various forums and the continuous development of administrative routines and working methods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has

  • a relevant academic degree of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent,
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing,
  • good experience and interest in administrative work and various administrative systems.

It is an advantage if you have

  • experience of administrative work in a government agency,
  • experience of administrative work within the university or higher education sector.

You must be able to prioritize and handle several different tasks simultaneously and work solution-focused when dealing with various challenges.

Great importance is attached to your personal qualities, ability to work independently, and to meet other people in a trustworthy manner, as well as demonstrated good teamwork skills.

We assume that you are flexible and open to change as the position involves varying work content based on the department's needs.

Information

The position is a full-time fixed-term appointment with immediate start and for approximately 6 months. Individual salary setting applies.
