About AMI
The Labor Market and Integration Unit is a small unit consisting of four employees, an assistant unit manager, and a unit manager with a shared role within individual and family care. The assistant unit manager also has a shared role and works in parallel as a business controller within the social services administration.
The unit is in a phase of development and transition based on activity requirements, where new work methods and approaches are being implemented to meet changed needs and strengthen the path to self-sufficiency. With us, you will become an important part of a smaller team with close collaboration, great engagement, and varied tasks.
We work closely with our participants and in broad cooperation with authorities, employers, and other operations within the municipality.
3 Positions Available
Are you ready for a new exciting challenge where you get the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives?
Lekeberg Municipality is now looking for three engaged and driven labor market consultants for the Labor Market and Integration Unit (AMI). Two positions are permanent appointments and one position is a temporary contract until 2027-08-31, with a possible extension.
About the Role
As a labor market consultant with us, you will have an important role in supporting individuals towards work, studies, or self-sufficiency. You will meet people who are outside the labor market and who often have complex and multifaceted problems.
With a motivating, solution-focused, and relationship-building approach, you help participants strengthen their confidence in their own abilities and take steps towards independence.
The work takes place both through individual conversations and group interventions. You will also work on creating work-oriented solutions through internships, work training, and other activities in close cooperation with employers and other actors.
The role also includes supervising participants who are out in activities or internships, as well as following up on and supporting participants in their development.
Since AMI is a small unit, we work closely together and help each other where needed. The role therefore involves great variation and the opportunity to contribute in several different areas.
Main Responsibilities
- Support individuals towards work, studies, or self-sufficiency through individually adapted interventions
- Hold guiding and motivating conversations, individually and in groups
- Work with motivation, labor market knowledge, and support in job seeking
- Map individuals' resources and match them against labor market needs
- Plan, develop, and follow up on internships and work training
- Supervise and support participants out in activities
- Cooperate with employers, authorities, and other operations
- Document, plan, and follow up on interventions
The unit is also responsible for receiving newly arrived immigrants, holiday jobs for young people, implementation of youth service, the municipal activity responsibility (KAA), and the coaching team. Based on the needs of the operation and your strengths, you may therefore contribute to several parts of the operation.
Your Profile
To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Sweden's welfare system and an understanding of the authorities we cooperate with, such as the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, and the Swedish Migration Agency. AMI belongs to the social services administration, and there is close cooperation with individual and family care, which is the primary client.
As a person, you are flexible, responsible, and confident in working in a changing operation. You have an easy time building relationships, collaborating with others, and adapting to new ways of working based on the municipality's needs.
A university education in a relevant field is meritorious. Practical professional experience in, for example, craft, service, or production occupations, as well as experience in supervising or guiding others in practical work, is also meritorious. Previous work experience, personal suitability, and the ability to create motivation and structure weigh heavily and can be decisive for the position. You express yourself well in speech and writing and can document your work in a structured and clear manner. The role requires that you can work independently, plan your interventions, and feel confident in holding conversations and leading groups.
A B-class driver's license is required.
We Offer

- The opportunity to help develop future working methods within AMI
- Competence development and learning in the professional role
