We are now looking for a business-oriented and proactive Business Controller who wants to take overall responsibility for the company's finance function and help develop the business forward.

About the role

As a Business Controller, you play a central role in the business and are responsible for creating structure, quality, and forward-looking financial management in the company. You work closely with the CEO and the management team, serving as a key support in both operational and strategic decisions.

The role is broad and varied, encompassing everything from ongoing accounting and closing to analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and the development of financial processes. We are looking for someone who thrives with significant autonomy, works proactively, and sees opportunities to improve methods, routines, and monitoring as the business grows.

The role offers great opportunities to influence, develop, and shape the finance function in line with the company's continued growth. You will have a key role in contributing to long-term business development together with management and the board.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ongoing accounting and financial management
• Handle supplier and customer invoices
• Responsible for payments, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring
• Responsible for liquidity planning, cash flow forecasts, and bank contacts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Responsible for annual reports, financial reporting, compliance, and audit preparations
• Drive and develop budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring processes
• Develop and monitor KPIs and business-related key figures
• Develop and present reports, analyses, and decision support materials to management and the board
• Actively participate in business control and management work
• Ensure correct handling of VAT, taxes, and financial reporting according to Swedish legislation
• Analyze and monitor costs, cash flow, and financial key figures
• Monitor production costs, inventory, and profitability in the business
• Prepare investment calculations, scenario analyses, and business cases to support strategic decisions
• Participate in financing and investment monitoring work
• Drive improvement and development work within financial processes and routines
• Collaborate with external parties such as auditors, banks, and authorities
• Serve as a strategic and business-close support to the CEO and management on financial and operational matters
• Participate in the development of sustainability and ESG-related reporting

Requirements

• Valid work permit for work in Sweden
• Relevant education in economics, accounting, or finance
• At least 3 years of experience in independent work within finance and accounting
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, closing processes, and financial monitoring
• Experience with budgeting processes, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Good knowledge of Swedish legislation regarding accounting, tax, VAT, and employer responsibilities
• Experience working according to the Swedish Accounting Act as well as K3/IFRS is meritorious
• Good system proficiency and experience with financial systems/ERP
• Strong analytical and administrative skills
• Fluent Swedish and good English in speech and writing
• No criminal record
