Purchasing and procurement is a strategic function within Region Örebro County, and we are now looking for an engaged procurement lawyer who wants to be part of our team. Our goal is to meet the region's needs for goods, services, and construction contracts with the right functionality and quality at the lowest possible total cost.

As a procurement lawyer within the Purchasing and Procurement Area, you work closely with procurers and operations within the region. You provide qualified legal support in daily procurement work and contribute to legally secure, business-minded, and strategically well-thought-out procurements. The work includes, among other things, legal advice within public procurement, contract issues, and adjacent legal areas. You handle appeals and assist in procurement-related legal proceedings and other legal matters related to purchasing and procurement.

The role also involves working with confidentiality issues according to the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, for example, when releasing documents and assessing confidentiality in procurement cases.

You actively participate in developing and quality-assuring templates, contract terms, and other governing documents within the area. An important part of the assignment is also to conduct legal and qualitative review of procurement documents before advertising, with a focus on legal certainty, clarity, and business-mindedness.

As a procurement lawyer, you are a knowledgeable support within, for example, information security, safety, and in the work to counteract and prevent welfare crime. You will therefore have many contact points both within and outside the organization and collaborate with operations, security functions, lawyers, and other specialist functions.

The assignment also includes:

• conducting training and providing legal support to operations and colleagues
• following legal developments within public procurement and related areas
• contributing to the development of working methods within procurement and contract management
• having an active role in development work related to, for example, information security, supply readiness, and supplier controls

• Law degree or other legal education that the employer considers equivalent
• good ability to apply legal methods to analyze and solve legal problems
• good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• good cooperation skills and ability to work independently
• structured and solution-oriented working method

We are looking for you who have an interest in public operations and who appreciate working operationally close in an advisory and supportive role. You need to be able to switch between strategic issues and operational legal work and thrive in an environment where many issues are handled in parallel.
