Do you want to work with water and wastewater in a broad role that truly makes a difference? Then this might be the job for you! We are currently offering the opportunity to work as a Planner at the Water and Wastewater Network unit.
As an employee at our Technology and Service Administration, you will have a meaningful job in a broad, socially important operation that affects every resident of Örebro every day!
About the position
Welcome to the Water and Wastewater Network unit! In line with increasing demands for documentation and controls, the unit has decided to introduce a new position as a Planner. As a Planner with us, you will become part of the overall work within the unit. In your role, you act as an expert and are responsible, among other things, for ensuring operational and maintenance possibilities for covers, devices, etc., during restoration work, as well as handling related administration. We work in systems such as VA-banken, Startgrop, and Future.
At the Water and Wastewater Network, there are three groups: Construction, Operations, and Service. Organizationally, you will belong to the Operations group. However, within the unit, you will work cross-functionally with all three groups and the role involves assisting them in their work. You will work together with other planners, surveying engineers, pipe network technicians, and administrative staff. In your role, you will get an exciting combination of significant personal responsibility and extensive collaboration with colleagues. You drive your processes and take responsibility for your tasks independently, while collaborating daily with the unit's various functions to relieve the groups and synchronize the unit.
Examples of tasks:
- pre-inspection of existing covers before top paving/restoration
- post-inspection of water and wastewater devices in connection with restoration work and top paving, e.g., covers, manholes, or similar
- documentation before and after inspection
- prepare traffic arrangement plans (TA plans), preparation and permit applications, and orders
- contact with contractors and citizens as needed
- certain invoice processing
- possible on-call duty
- continuous collaboration with the entire water and wastewater sector and other operations within the administration
- possibly drive and plan future cleaning of LOD ponds and ditches
About the workplace
The Water and Wastewater Network is part of the Technology and Service Administration, which has 53 employees divided into three groups: Construction, Operations, and Service. The Network's main task is preventive maintenance of the water and wastewater network, renewal of the network, and new construction of water and wastewater pipes in renewal and development areas. We also handle water meter replacements and meter readings. The Network collaborates with several different units within the Technology and Service Administration.
You will find us in new, state-of-the-art premises in Berglunda near Marieberg, but you will move around the entire municipality of Örebro to perform your tasks, which means you will meet many colleagues and residents in your daily work.
