Borlänge Municipality is divided into five departments. The one you will belong to is called "Verksamhetsstöd" (Business Support), whose mission is to deliver professional and coordinated business support so that other sectors have the best conditions to carry out their core activities. Within Business Support, you will find Food and Premises Service, the IT Office, as well as Service and Support (which consists of committee service, civil protection, service center, and guardianship in collaboration).

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a server technician, you will have overall responsibility for the operation, development, and security of our local AD environment and identity platform. You will work closely with both IT operations, security, and the business to ensure high availability and secure access for users and systems.

Administration and further development of our Active Directory
Management of identities, permissions, and authentication
Operation and maintenance of the identity platform and directory services
Work with GPOs, user accounts, and security groups
Troubleshooting and incident management within the server and identity areas
Security work related to IAM, MFA, and access management
Documentation and improvement of processes and routines
Collaboration with other technical teams and suppliers
Administration of Microsoft Entra ID/Intune
On-call duty

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

IT-oriented upper secondary education or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways that the employer considers equivalent.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Knowledge of Windows Server and server operations
Experience with identity management/IAM
Good understanding of IT security and access control
Experience with PowerShell or other automation
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID/Intune
Experience with SQL databases

Very good oral and written skills in Swedish and good skills in English.

Meritorious qualifications:

Broad knowledge and experience of hybrid environments with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID.
Knowledge of federation, SSO, and MFA.
Software development in IAM environments for process control and API connections.
3 years of service as an AD and identity manager in a larger organization.
Class B driver's license.
