About the Role

We are now looking for an IT Technician to join User Support IT, who wants to help develop and deliver IT support to the operations of Region Dalarna.

User Support IT is the region's central support function, responsible for IT support, case management, deliveries, and user-centric development. Our mission is to create an accessible and functional IT environment that supports employees in their daily work.

We are part of Digitalization, IT, and Medical Technology (DIM), where we work both operationally and strategically to secure operations, improve services, and drive development. Here, you will meet a cohesive team with broad competence, where we share joint responsibility for the delivery.

Responsibilities

Do you want to work close to the operations and make a difference in the digital everyday life? We are now looking for an IT Technician for User Support IT within Digital Workplace.

Here, you will work in both first and second line support to assist healthcare and regional staff with IT issues. This ranges from receiving and resolving cases directly with the user to more advanced troubleshooting and equipment handling.

In the first line, you are often the user's first point of contact. You guide via phone and remote control, ensuring problems are resolved quickly or forwarded if necessary. In the second line, you work more technically with in-depth troubleshooting, deliveries, and exchanges of IT equipment such as computers, monitors, and printers.

You will become part of the Digital Workplace team within DIM (Digitalization, IT, and Medical Technology), where we together create a stable and operationally close digital workplace for all of Region Dalarna.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Upper secondary education in IT or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of Windows 11
  • Experience working in helpdesk/support and case management systems
  • Understanding of clients, client platforms, and peripheral equipment
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

Merits:

  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN/WAN/WiFi)
  • Experience working in larger IT environments
  • Experience from public sector operations
  • Experience in both support and operations
