De Geergymnasiet is a result unit with approximately 800 students and 120 employees. At De Geergymnasiet, we offer the following programs:

Aesthetics, Social Sciences, Humanities, Hotel and Tourism. Within the adapted upper secondary school, we offer the individual program as well as the national program for Aesthetic Activities.

We are now looking for an art teacher for our students within aesthetic activities who is passionate about student learning.

Your responsibilities

The position is a combination of equal parts teaching in art subjects and acting as a resource person. The role also includes duties as a co-mentor, which involves close collaboration with the student health team and your work group.

As a teacher, you view the student's entire school day as important, and you therefore collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others working at the school. This is to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student.

You base your work on the student group you meet and create varied and challenging teaching based on the students' needs. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You lead, motivate, and create engagement in the teaching situation, and you evaluate and develop your teaching systematically.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have teacher certification in art subjects for teaching within the adapted upper secondary school. You have previous experience working with this target group and have good subject knowledge.

As a person, you are secure and stable, with the ability to create trusting relationships with both students and guardians. You have good pedagogical insight where you are clear and adapt the teaching to the students' different abilities and needs.

You have good leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom, where you motivate and inspire but can also set boundaries when necessary.

Since we work with people, we see that you are flexible and can adapt to changed circumstances and variations in work pace throughout the day.

You see opportunities, are creative, create trusting relationships, and work independently.

You have organizational skills, are flexible, and find it easy to collaborate and take initiative.
