About Us
The Secretariat and Service Department is part of the Municipal Executive Office – an important support function for the municipality's core operations. Here, we collaborate with, among others, the HR, Finance, and IT departments to create the best possible conditions for the entire organization.
You will belong to the Secretariat Unit, where our mission is to coordinate, develop, and lead the municipality's handling of public documents and cases. In the team, board secretaries, lawyers, registrars, and specialists with high competence and great commitment work together.
We are far ahead in the development of administrative processes, focusing on clear flows, structure, information management, and personal data handling. Our goal is to be a competent, accessible, and service-oriented partner to the entire organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Board Secretary/Case Handler, you have a key role in the municipal decision-making process. You contribute to ensuring the quality of decision support materials and that processes follow laws and regulations.
Your main responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the board process and serve as secretary for several boards, with primary responsibility for the Social Board and Social Committee, among others.
- To act as an expert and advisor during case preparation and contribute to ensuring that the administration's decision support materials maintain high quality.
- To provide advice on matters related to the Local Government Act and the municipality's governing documents.
- To participate in the municipality's work to develop digital case handling.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
- A university or college education in fields such as political science, legal science, law, or equivalent competence acquired through experience.
- Experience working in public administration within a relevant area.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of politically governed organizations.
Meritorious:
- Experience with board work within municipal operations.
- Experience working in case handling systems.
- Experience in improving and streamlining work processes.
