We are currently seeking 2–3 dedicated consultants within Transaction Monitoring (TM) to join a specialized AML team.

About the Role

Our client is a modern Swedish fintech company challenging the traditional banking sector through innovation and speed. To manage increased volume and proactively combat financial crime, the organization's AML department urgently needs to strengthen its team with sharp consultants in transaction monitoring.

We are looking for someone who wants to step into an environment where things happen quickly, where you are expected to deliver from day one, and where your work makes a direct difference to the business's security and compliance. This is an initial assignment of 3–4 months.

This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by us and work as a consultant at the client's company.

Responsibilities

Your daily focus will be on reviewing, investigating, and handling alerts generated in the bank's transaction monitoring system. The role involves independently driving investigations from start to finish with high quality and efficiency.

• Analyze and investigate transaction alerts (TM investigations) to identify suspected money laundering or terrorist financing.
• Gather and assess supplementary documentation in complex cases.
• Draft and compile high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for submission to the Financial Police.
• Ensure that all investigations are conducted in accordance with current regulations and internal processes.

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of documented experience in transaction monitoring (TM investigations) and SAR reporting within banking, finance, or fintech.
• Has a good understanding of flows and financial patterns related to money laundering and fraud.
• Is accustomed to working in specialized AML/TM systems and quickly adapts to new digital tools.
• Thrives with a high volume of cases and can deliver with high precision and speed.

It is an advantage if you have

• Previous experience from a fast-paced fintech environment or niche bank.
• Experience with both consumer products (B2C) and corporate products (B2B).
• Post-secondary education in economics, law, or criminology.
