Are you at the beginning of your legal career and want to work in a dynamic environment? The Prosecution Authority in Umeå is now looking for a Legal Analyst (Beredningsjurist).

Your responsibilities

As a Legal Analyst, you perform legal work together with the prosecutors. You assist them in their work and participate in preparatory work during criminal investigations and before various prosecutorial decisions. Furthermore, you help monitor certain tasks of the prosecutors, propose measures, and participate in various collaboration meetings. It also occurs that you assist prosecutors in court hearings. As a Legal Analyst, you also assist prosecutors and case handlers with various administrative issues.

The workday is event-driven, and cases can arrive quickly, requiring you to make rapid decisions and assess urgency.

Your qualities and qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed or is at the end of their legal education. Upon starting as a Legal Analyst, you must have completed your law degree.

• be meticulous, structured, and able to follow established guidelines and routines
• be proactive and responsible, and able to prepare your cases independently

• have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you have gained experience with criminal cases through studies, internships, or work during or after your studies.

About the position

The employment is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period.

The requirement for this position is that you hold a Nordic law degree.

The Swedish Prosecution Authority is an emergency authority. Upon employment, you may be assigned to wartime duties at the Swedish Prosecution Authority. Read more under Working with us (#).
