Welcome to the Authority for Family Law and Parenting Support (MFoF)!
The Authority for Family Law and Parenting Support (MFoF) offers socially significant and developmental work at a knowledge-based and dynamic workplace. Here, you contribute to strengthening the conditions for children, parents, and families in Sweden.
MFoF is a knowledge authority within parenting support, family counseling, and family law matters handled by social welfare boards. We are also responsible for ensuring that adoptions to Sweden take place in a legal, safe, and ethically acceptable manner. MFoF considers the rights of the child in all decisions and measures affecting children, and the operations are carried out in close collaboration with other authorities, municipalities, organizations, and research actors. Our employees have different professions and backgrounds, and we place great emphasis on collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional treatment. MFoF has the mandate to promote gender equality and equal parenting in its role as a JiM authority, and has the mandate to be an hbtqi-strategic authority. Through our work, we contribute to a more gender-equal society and equal rights and opportunities for hbtqi persons.
MFoF has had a very positive development since the authority was relocated to Skellefteå in 2018 with new assignments and increasing trust within our areas of operation. The authority currently has 54 employees. We continue to grow and are now looking for a Corporate Lawyer!
As a Corporate Lawyer, you will work in an ambitious and competent team within the authority's operational support. The department consists of 12 employees with different competencies and broad experience who together work for high quality in the execution of the authority's mandate.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Corporate Lawyer at the Authority for Family Law and Parenting Support, you play an important role in supporting the authority's application of law and internal governance. You contribute to ensuring that the authority's internal routines and decisions meet the requirements of current law. You will identify and analyze legal issues, interpret and provide support on how the authority should apply the law, and work on developing guidelines and practice. In addition to providing advice in various cases and projects, you will conduct legal investigations, handle administrative law issues, drive process development, and work to secure legal quality in the projects you are involved in. The role also includes holding the position of the authority's CISO, which involves coordinating information security work. The position of Corporate Lawyer is part of the authority's operational support department and reports directly to the department manager. The duties involve both independent work and group work with other employees regarding, for example, information security. The role requires that you can work both operationally and with a strategic holistic perspective for a long-term quality-assured operation.
Examples of duties:
- Provide qualified legal support within the framework of assignments and projects.
- Interpret and apply the Administrative Procedure Act and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
- Provide legal support in procurement issues.
- Handle issues related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including personal data processing and information management.
- Coordinate and handle issues regarding information security.
- Draft, review, and interpret agreements, such as cooperation agreements and assignment agreements.
- Prepare legal investigations and official responses.
- Contribute to the development of legal processes.
- Follow legal developments in relevant legal areas and participate in collaboration with other authorities and actors.
- Conduct internal training, lead meetings, and support competence development in your areas.
- Collaborate with authorities, organizations, and principal bodies.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A law degree.
- Experience in interpreting legal documents and developing proposals for application.
- Experience working with procurement.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and legal methodology.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Good ability to give oral presentations.
- High ability to learn and utilize digital tools.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Further education in the application of the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
- Further education in information classification and information security.
- Experience working with legal issues within state operations.
- Experience in reviewing, drafting, and interpreting agreements.
- Experience in conveying knowledge with a coaching approach.
- Experience in process development or operational development.
Your Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone with a collaborative approach who treats colleagues and other stakeholders with good communication, respect, and professionalism. You are pedagogical and have the ability to coach and teach. The role requires a good ability to take personal responsibility and drive the work forward within the framework of the assignment, while using good judgment to determine what needs to be confirmed and anchored. You also need to be very structured and able to plan your work efficiently.
The Employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probation period. Start date by agreement. You are based at the office in central Skellefteå but have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days a week based on agreement with the manager.
