Description

We are now looking for a Group Controller who wants to take a key role in developing the economic management and reporting of the municipal group. We are looking for you who combine analytical sharpness with drive and who thrive in a role where you work both strategically and operationally in a complex and socially important operation.

You will become part of the Department of Economy and Administration within the Municipal Executive Office. The department plays a central and important role in the municipality's governance and supports operations in areas such as economy, accounting, quality, board secretariats, archives, and procurement. Here, you will become part of an engaged and competent team of 17 employees led by the Head of Economy and Administration.

Responsibilities

As a Group Controller, you have a central role in coordinating, developing, and monitoring the economy of the municipal group. You work independently but in close collaboration with colleagues, managers, and company representatives, contributing qualified support in matters concerning accounting, analysis, and economic management.

The assignment includes specific responsibility for the parent company Lysekils Stadshus AB and its subsidiaries, as well as for the consolidation and monitoring of the entire municipal group. The role involves many contact surfaces and close cooperation with representatives of both the municipality and the group companies.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Responsible for the final accounts and annual report of the group annual report for the parent company group
• Responsible for issues regarding tax and VAT
• Prepare materials for qualified financial analyses and decision-making basis
• Bank responsible and responsible for handling loans for the municipal group
• Prepare materials for financial reporting and internal monitoring
• The position includes system responsibility for the municipality's economic system Raindance as well as an overarching responsibility as the municipality's specialist in accounting matters.
• Responsible for bookkeeping, final accounts, and annual reports for the municipality's foundations

You will also be part of a network with municipalities in northern Bohuslän, where there are good opportunities for experience exchange, environmental scanning, and joint development within the economic area.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education in economics or other education that the employer considers equivalent, as well as experience of qualified accounting work. It is meritorious if you have experience of group accounting, economic management in a politically governed organization, or work in municipal operations.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and confident in your competence. You have good collaboration skills, can create trusting relationships, and thrive in a role where you both drive issues forward and provide support to others. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have the ability to translate complex information into clear materials.
