Recruiter for the Staffing Unit – 2 Positions
Lerum Municipality is known for its beautiful natural areas with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects significant growth in the coming years. Lerum is located just a 20-minute drive from Gothenburg and is currently facing a period of intense development with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.
Dagens Samhälle has also recently named Lerum the winner in the category of large municipalities (2025) – an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as schools, healthcare and social care, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business life, and future factors like digitalization and civil preparedness. We are now a Super Municipality!
About the Staffing Unit
The mission of the Staffing Unit is to employ hourly substitutes and assign work shifts during short-term absences and increased workload within the Education Sector, Support and Care Sector, and Meal Service. Through our work, we directly contribute to the operations functioning – every day.
We work for an open and inclusive workplace where collaboration, engagement, and development are at the center. Through strong team spirit and close cooperation, we create good service and secure solutions for both substitutes and operations. In everything we do, our work is characterized by quality, care, and professionalism.
The Staffing Unit is part of the HR Unit and consists of staffing planners, system administrators, and recruiters. Today, we are a team of 11 employees working together under the leadership of a unit manager.
Workplace and Working Hours
Our office is centrally located in Lerum, with good communication links, proximity to both train and bus stations, and access to free parking. The workplace is designed as an open office landscape that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing.
In the role of recruiter, you work standard hours from 08:00–16:30 and are subject to annual working hours.
2 Position(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Mission
Your core mission is to recruit and hire hourly employees on intermittent contracts for the Education Sector, Support and Care Sector, and Meal Service. Approximately 80% of your working time will be dedicated to recruitment.
Together with your colleagues, you ensure that operations can quickly get staffing during short-term absences and temporary needs. You do this by maintaining high quality, keeping short lead times, and placing the right candidate in the right place.
You work with volume recruitment, which means you recruit continuously throughout the year and have several candidates in a recruitment process simultaneously. Our recruitment process is entirely digital according to the Staffing Unit's established routines. Your tasks include, among other things:
- conducting selection, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
- making a holistic assessment of candidates' suitability
- contacting operations and hourly substitutes, primarily via digital channels
- contributing to the development of working methods and improvement of recruitment flows
- representing the operation at recruitment fairs and other external activities to attract future employees and strengthen the employer brand
- handling other administrative tasks related to the mission
Areas of Responsibility
The Staffing Unit is developing its working methods to meet the operation's future needs for competence supply. The change means that employees in the Staffing Unit will have different areas of responsibility and the opportunity to work with both recruitment and other developmental tasks within the area.
We are therefore looking for you who thrive in a changing environment, see opportunities in development, and want to contribute to our ongoing change journey.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
We are looking for you who have a degree in personnel science or other education directed towards recruitment that the employer considers equivalent. If you have experience in operational recruitment work, it is meritorious but not a requirement. We would like you to have good knowledge of competence-based recruitment. Above all, we are looking for you who see recruitment, and competence supply as a whole, as an exciting area to develop within.
Communication and Digital Competence
You have good digital skills and are quick to learn new systems and working methods. Thanks to your pedagogical ability, you can explain and convey information clearly, both in writing and verbally. Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing, is a requirement for the position.
Personal Attributes
To thrive with us, you need to feel secure in handling changes when they arise. The work pace can be high at times. This means you need to be flexible and make priorities, which you do by seeking support from colleagues and managers.
You see collaboration as a natural part of the work. At the same time, you have the ability to take responsibility for your tasks, structure your daily life, and drive the work forward to achieve set goals. You are relationship-building and have a good understanding that people are different, something you take into account when meeting both candidates and colleagues.
