About the role

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant for our client. Verdis is one of Sweden's leading private players in the environmental industry, focusing on the collection and transport of source-separated household waste and materials. They help municipalities, businesses, and private individuals with sustainable waste management. They are currently in an exciting growth phase and need support from an experienced accountant. The position is located in Älvsjö, Stockholm.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will become an important part of the finance department, working closely with accountants, controllers, and the financial manager. The assignment focuses on supporting the existing organization and ensuring reporting to the group's foreign parent company.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work with tasks such as:

• Ongoing accounting and bookkeeping
• Balance sheet work
• Group accounting
• Chart of accounts mapping
• Handling ad hoc questions
• Support in matters related to financial controlling

Your personality

To succeed in this role, we believe you are a confident and independent accountant who can quickly get up to speed in new operations. Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as an accountant
• Extensive experience in group accounting
• Extensive experience with IFRS
• Knowledge of financial controlling
• Fluent in both Swedish and English

Preferred:

• Experience with Visma Business NXT

Scope and start date

Full-time, consulting assignment for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. Immediate start.
