Together we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Together with patients, we work for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation within a cohesive healthcare system in the Region of Västra Götaland. Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always in focus. We offer local and regional healthcare, as well as highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new ways of working, we can simplify life at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality.
About the organization
Regional Cancer Centre West (RCC West) is a knowledge-based organization working to develop cancer care and is one of six regional cancer centers in Sweden. Our operations strive to create more patient-centered, equitable, and efficient cancer care at the local, regional, and national levels. We work according to the ten criteria in the National Cancer Strategy and collaborate closely with patients, relatives, healthcare staff, other regional and national program areas, universities, authorities, companies, and organizations. Four key parts of our work are care processes, care programs, quality registers, and screening.
RCC West belongs to the Region of Västra Götaland (VGR) but works for the entire Western Healthcare Region, which includes VGR and northern Region Halland. The operations are divided into four units, where the leadership support unit reports directly to the division manager. RCC West is responsible for coordinating work on both healthcare-regional and national assignments.
About the assignment
RCC West has a national support assignment related to the development and quality assurance of national cancer screening programs. The screening IT systems are jointly owned by the country's six Regional Cancer Centers. These IT systems for screening are run in a central operational environment.
The role of Test Leader/Test Coordinator involves responsibility for testing and quality assurance of diagnosis-specific screening IT systems (including invitation and response systems). The role also includes performing testing work independently as well as in collaboration with the system supplier.
You will work in a team together with two national screening coordinators within both operations and IT who work across diagnoses, as well as product owners. In your work, you will also have contact with representatives from each region and expert groups from healthcare for anchoring the work.
The assignment is part-time, 80%, and fixed-term until March 2027, located in Gothenburg. Travel to other regional cancer centers and regions is included in the position.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who have an academic IT education such as a Civil Engineer in Technology or a System Scientist, or other education assessed as equivalent. At least five years of experience working as a test leader/test coordinator. It is meritorious if you have worked with testing of IT systems within healthcare and have certification in the testing field.
The work requires both independence and teamwork skills, and desirable traits are analytical thinking, initiative-taking, and the ability to structure and plan your own work.
As a person, you are structured, analytical, and driven, with a high sense of service and the ability to handle working with many tasks in parallel.
We warmly welcome your application!
