Your role with us

In your work, you will provide support for individuals with mental disabilities. Here, staff work to support the individual in their daily life and leisure time. Our clients have a great need for support due to mental illness, and sometimes also due to physical disabilities. Our goal is for our clients to feel safe and to be treated according to their conditions, needs, and wishes.

The tasks primarily consist of providing our clients with individual support, developing and maintaining abilities and communication, taking into account the disability. You support the clients' participation in leisure and cultural activities, participation at all levels – individual, group, and societal – as well as self-determination and personal integrity.

You are the contact person, and in this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the implementation plan is drawn up and followed up. Furthermore, you are responsible for social documentation according to current guidelines. In relevant cases, you perform medical tasks delegated by a nurse, or assist the client with self-care. Nursing care may also occur.

Within social psychiatry, we have a flexible working method, which means we are there where our clients need us. This means that the entire social psychiatry department will be your workplace. We support each other, and we find this working method extremely competence-developing! It also contributes to increased engagement, cohesion, and greater job satisfaction.

We work according to the Social Services Act (SoL) with a focus on social psychiatry. We provide services during the day, evening, night, and weekends. In this recruitment, we are looking for you who want to work nights, enjoy challenges, and have great drive.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with a completed education from the Child and Youth Program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or alternatively the Care and Nursing Program with a vocational exit in healthcare or dementia care, or alternatively other education that the employer finds equivalent. Experience working with people with disabilities is meritorious, as are good knowledge and experience within psychiatry and mental illness.

You need to be able to work independently with the client, handle clients with aggressive behavior, and have knowledge/experience of working with low-affective handling and clarifying pedagogy.

Since the work requires communication and documentation, we assume that you are computer literate and master Swedish in speech and writing. Interest in digital work tools is meritorious. A category B driver's license is a requirement for the positions at Gränsgatan and Fru Marines väg.

We will work together as a team, and it is therefore important to work without hierarchy and in a structured manner. We would like you, the applicant, to have broad competence within psychiatry and an interest in this area. An important quality we are looking for is the ability to absorb new knowledge and apply it in work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

You have a professional attitude and good cooperation skills, are stress-resistant, flexible, and find solutions in everyday life. You can make your own decisions while having the ability to respect decisions made and to perform work on behalf of others. You are confident in solo work and can work both alone and together with colleagues.

This is us

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and persons who need functional support, as well as persons who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
