About Biskops Arnö
Biskops Arnö has a broad operation with both feet firmly planted in adult education (folkbildning). We run a Folk High School, a Vocational College, and host seminars and conferences. We also operate a Bed & Breakfast and a youth hostel during the summer. In the summer, we run our own short courses and seminars, and we rent out our facilities for parties and weddings.
Biskops Arnö has a unique history reflected in both its buildings and environment. The oldest parts of the facility date back to the 14th century, while the latest extension was completed in the mid-2000s. Parts of the buildings are owned by the Swedish National Property Board, while the rest is owned by the Foundation of Nordens Biskops Arnö. Large parts of the island constitute a Natura 2000 area, and the historic buildings and park area are protected under the ordinance on state historical monuments.
We value sustainability and have a KRAV-certified kitchen along with a systematic environmental management system.
