We are looking for you who want to work as a support assistant at our unit within short-term supervision and short-term stay. Do you want to support our users in living a meaningful and active life? Then perhaps you are one of our new employees?

About the role and responsibilities

We are now looking for support assistants for our units within short-term supervision and short-term stay for children, young people, and young adults.

You will work with supporting our users in their daily lives with care, leisure, and cultural activities. The units are aimed at children, young people, and young adults with autism and other functional variations with varying needs for support from the age of 13 and up.

The assignment also includes drawing up and designing implementation plans, as well as documenting and contributing to maintaining good quality in the operations.

We are looking for someone who is positive, innovative, and has the ability to see the individual's development and potential. Great importance is placed on your experience with this target group and that you have knowledge of low-affective handling. You need to enjoy working flexibly as the units have a collaboration regarding personnel and staffing.

The operations are open 24/7, which means you will work irregular hours and every other weekend, and night shifts may also occur. In a full-time position as a support assistant or support staff member, you work 36.33 hours per week.

About us

Short-term stay means that people with disabilities get the opportunity for a change of environment, while their relatives get relief.

We address both children and adults, and our users are offered stays both during the week and on weekends. The stay gives the user the opportunity for a change of environment, stimulation, and community with others and can also be good training for those who want to move out of their parents' home.

Short-term supervision is for people with disabilities who no longer have the right to youth clubs but still have a need for it. Supervision is offered before and after school hours, as well as during holidays and study days, and is aimed at people from 13 years old until they graduate from high school.

Short-term supervision offers relaxing and active leisure activities that provide both physical and mental stimulation where users get the opportunity to socialize with other young people under adult supervision.

We offer you

As an employee with us, you are offered a number of benefits with a focus on balance, security, and health. Lund Municipality is a large organization with many exciting operations and opportunities for employee development. As an employee, you also get access to our benefits portal where you can easily view your benefits and administer them.

  • Knowledge of work with low-affective handling.
  • Experience working with clarifying pedagogy.
  • It is a requirement that you can and want to cycle.
  • A driver's license is a merit.

We work to ensure that our users have the opportunity to be as independent as possible and live the life they desire. This therefore requires that you have leadership skills, are curious, and have the ability to listen to our users.

You share our vision and values and are ready to work based on our approaches – listen, learn, and lead. You focus on our users' wishes and needs and strive to make their daily lives meaningful.

The recruitment process

We work with continuous selection and start our recruitment with team interviews. Final interviews will be held during week 27.

Within the Care and Nursing Administration, approximately 3,400 employees work to ensure that older people and people with disabilities can live an active, social, and meaningful life on their own terms. We are responsible for, among other things, the municipality's nursing homes, home care, support for people with disabilities, home healthcare, and meeting points for seniors. With us, every individual's needs are at the center, and our operations are characterized by participation, choice, flexibility, and quality with respect for the individual's integrity and self-determination.

Before employment in positions involving care and nursing work, you must be able to produce an acceptable extract from the criminal record register:
