About the role

In the role of Purchasing Coordinator, you are responsible for supporting the purchasing function in daily operations and ensuring that the purchasing process runs efficiently from order to delivery.

You work closely with suppliers and internal functions to ensure that materials, products, and services are delivered according to agreed terms. The role involves a strong focus on coordination, administration, and follow-up, where you ensure that information in systems and processes is correct, up-to-date, and accessible.

You will play a key role in handling delivery monitoring, following up on deviations, and contributing to creating efficient working methods within the purchasing area.

Your responsibilities

• Placing and administering purchase orders
• Following up on order status and ensuring delivery according to agreement
• Maintaining ongoing contact with suppliers regarding deliveries, deviations, and follow-up
• Managing item registers, supplier information, and master data in business systems
• Ensuring that prices, terms, and other purchasing-related information are updated
• Handling and following up on purchasing-related deviations
• Coordinating information between suppliers and internal functions
• Supporting purchasers in operational and administrative work
• Contributing to the development and improvement of purchasing processes and routines
• Collaborating closely with functions within purchasing, finance, warehouse, logistics, and planning

Your background

We are looking for you who have experience in purchasing, purchasing administration, order handling, or another coordinating role with many contact surfaces.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:

• Experience in administrative or operational purchasing work
• Experience with supplier contacts and order follow-up
• Good system proficiency and experience with business systems
• Good knowledge of Excel and the rest of the Office package
• Ability to work structured and carefully with several parallel tasks
• Good communication skills and experience collaborating with different functions
• Post-secondary education

It is an advantage if you have experience from manufacturing industry, trade, or logistics operations.
