Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will, in close collaboration with a senior engineer, participate in the development, testing, and commissioning of automation solutions. The role is varied and combines programming, technical problem-solving, and practical work in the workshop and at customer sites. This involves some travel, both nationally and globally.

You will primarily:

  • Participate in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC programs in Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Support commissioning, service, and technical investigations, both internally and at customer sites.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of electrical schematics, technical documentation, and simpler CAD drawings.
  • Contribute to the setup of test environments, verification of functions, and simpler assembly and electrical work.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious and solution-oriented and enjoys combining programming with practical technical work. We believe you have an educational background in electrical engineering and automation at the upper secondary or post-secondary level, along with industrial or workshop experience. You have a strong technical interest and a desire to develop within automation and software.

Requirements

  • Experience or education in TIA Portal.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and installations.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–30 days per year.
  • Fluent Swedish and good English.

Merits

  • Knowledge in high-level programming, such as SCL/ST, Pascal, or similar languages.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40–50 days per year.
  • Experience in creating or updating electrical drawings in CAD.
  • Practical experience with assembly, installation, or work in electrical cabinets.
  • Experience from industrial automation or related technical fields.

Application Process

The position is initially a consulting assignment through us at Skill. This means that you are employed by us at Skill and have your assignment at HFSAB in Motala.

Due to the holiday season, the selection process will begin on August 6th. If you proceed, you will subsequently receive an email with a link to our work-psychological tests, which objectively help us match the right person to the role.

If you have questions about the position or the process, please contact the responsible recruiter, Matilda Ingeson, at [email protected].

A background check will be conducted prior to employment.
