Join our global team as a Service Application Engineer and step into the core of preventive maintenance for SGT 800 gas turbines. You lead and coordinate the technical delivery, prepare basis for service quotations, and assess potential risks with safety in mind. As the technical voice in meetings, you represent projects to customers, partners, and colleagues. You prepare inspection setups and update product data after each inspection.

You master tools such as SAP and PLM2020 and act as the obvious expert between major overhauls. Occasionally, you travel to meet customers in person and discuss maintenance insights. Every day, you work closely with Sales Managers, Customer Contract Managers, Project Managers, and Logistics to keep our turbines in top shape.

How you will make an impact

• Prepare customized technical setups for planned inspections of SGT 800 gas turbines within Long Term Program contracts and find ways to create added value.
• Be the technical point of contact for LTP customers and collaborate with the engineering team on various technical issues (excluding 24/7 emergency support).
• Lead, coordinate, and deliver the technical aspects of preventive maintenance, provide clear feedback for service quotations, and assess risks together with other technical experts.
• Represent projects at customer and partner meetings, prepare inspection setups, provide back-office support during inspections, and update product data afterwards.
• Use SAP and PLM2020 to manage data efficiently and answer technical questions from customers and regional teams during planned overhauls.
• Travel to customer sites 1–5 times per year to discuss maintenance activities with customer representatives.

What you bring

• Strong technical background in Gas Turbine Engineering – Master’s degree in control engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with commissioning or installation of SGT 800 turbines is an advantage.
• You have a collaborative attitude and are eager to both learn and share knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers in project environments.
• Interest in process improvement and experience working in multiple IT systems.
• Organized, driven, open-minded, and detail-oriented.

About the team

Our SGT 800 engineering team is growing to meet the needs of an expanding global fleet. We deliver preventive maintenance that keeps turbines reliable, available, and fully optimized – building customer trust worldwide. Here, you get a complete picture of the SGT 800, including the core engine and auxiliary systems.

Our diverse team of 15 engineers from different parts of the world works closely together, providing feedback and mentorship to strengthen technical competence. Ideas and solutions are discussed openly to ensure the best possible results before delivery to the customer.

Within the Gas Services division, we offer energy solutions with zero or low emissions based on our gas turbines, combined with steam turbines and generators under one roof. Through service, modernization, and digitalization of the delivered fleet, we create opportunities for a reduced carbon footprint.
