We are looking for a warm, secure, and attentive personal assistant for Freja, starting immediately. The position begins with summer work in Ljugarn on Gotland, in a calm and nature-rich environment near the sea. After the summer, the position continues on Lidingö.

Freja is 18 years old and lives with extensive disabilities. She has a significant need for support in her daily life, both physically and communicatively. The work therefore requires presence, patience, and a good ability to read, interpret, and create a sense of security in both small and large situations.

Although Freja's daily life is limited by many difficulties, it is important that you see her resources, will, and personality. You need to be attuned to her small signals, able to analyze and interpret them correctly, and find ways to communicate and interact.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with similar disabilities and who feel confident in meeting people with significant care needs. It is important that you can work calmly, empathetically, and with great respect for Freja's integrity and self-determination.

It is an advantage if you are:

• a nurse assistant
• a registered nurse
• a special education teacher
• a physiotherapist

Previous experience in personal assistance or other care activities with similar needs is highly valuable. It is also an advantage if you have experience with:

• deafblindness
• CI (cochlear implant)
• transfers and handling of people with muscle weakness
• epilepsy, seizures, and emergency medication
• mucus mobilization
• inhalations
• mechanical insufflation-exsufflation (cough assist machine)
• tube feeding
• RIK (Respiratory Insufficiency Care)
