About me

Hi there! I'm an 18-year-old guy living in Hässelby. I enjoy bowling, music, video games, and having fun! Occasionally, I go to music camps outside of Stockholm, and my assistants join me. I communicate using words, hands, and facial expressions, so it's great if you are good at reading cues and adapting to me.

My life is a mix of adventures and quiet days at home. I need you to accompany me to school, activities, and help me at home. I hope you want to become part of my team!

About you

You are a secure and responsible person who enjoys being an important support for someone else. You are quick to laugh but can also be focused when needed. Experience with alternative communication is a big plus.

You need to have a good command of the Swedish language so we can understand each other.

Being a non-smoker is a requirement, and it is important that you have good physical fitness to assist me with transfers. You will also assist me with my basic needs, such as personal hygiene.

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and compensated) staffing responsibility. This means that during certain weeks, you must be reachable outside of regular working hours to either call in a substitute or step in yourself to assist when intervention is required.

This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The on-call duty is shared with some of your colleagues, who work according to a regular schedule.

The Position:

This is a 50% position (20 hours per week) to allow space for taking on extra shifts as needed under your staffing responsibility. Working hours are spread across the entire day, including mornings, days, evenings, and nights (sleeping night), all days of the year and weekends, according to a rolling schedule.
