Assignment Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Java/Scala Developer to join a highly innovative organization working with large-scale data processing and advanced data platforms.

What You Will Work On

• Design and develop large-scale data services and processing pipelines
• Build and maintain distributed systems using Scala and JVM-based technologies
• Develop algorithms for data matching, conflation, anomaly detection, and data quality improvement
• Improve scalability, performance, and efficiency of data processing platforms
• Optimize turnaround times to ensure data remains fresh and accurate
• Design and implement automation solutions for existing processes
• Define requirements and technical solutions for new platform capabilities
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data streaming solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and technical direction
• Contribute to API development and integration services
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making

What You Bring

• Strong software development and system design experience
• Deep knowledge of JVM technologies and distributed systems
• Extensive hands-on experience with Scala development
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Scala
• Experience developing scalable backend systems and data-intensive applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to identify efficient solutions to complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and share knowledge
• Experience working in agile software development environments
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies
• Apache Spark
• Akka
• Play Framework
• Big Data ETL solutions
• Data Streaming Platforms
