Through stable operations, high information security, and continuous technical improvement work, a robust IT environment is ensured that supports everything from the daily needs of stores and the logistics chain to sales functions, customer-facing systems, financial processes, sustainability work, analytics platforms, and other central business areas.

The IT department works closely with the business with the mission to deliver scalable, modern solutions that drive digitalization forward throughout the organization, while simultaneously streamlining processes and creating conditions for an even stronger and more cohesive customer experience. The IT department is also part of Saint-Gobain Distribution Nordic, and some assignments may take place across national borders.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Specialist, you are responsible for enabling reliable, secure, and efficient platforms and delivery flows. You work at the intersection of development, operations, and cloud architecture with a focus on automation, scalability, and stable operations.

You drive the development of CI/CD processes and ensure that build, test, and deploy flows function efficiently and automatically. The role also involves working with monitoring and incident management to ensure high availability and performance.

Furthermore, you work on improving tools, processes, and working methods, while also having responsibility for cost optimization and capacity planning in the platforms.

Examples of tasks:

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure and on-premise solutions using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated flows.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for proactive operations.
  • Ensure security in platforms and pipelines according to secure-by-design principles.
  • Work with scalability, performance, and cost optimization in cloud platforms.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • Experience as a DevOps Specialist, SRE, Platform Engineer, or similar.
  • Practical experience with a cloud platform.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools, and Container technology.
  • Knowledge in at least one scripting or programming language.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

To succeed in this role, we believe you work in a structured manner and take responsibility for driving the work forward, even when multiple parts need to collaborate. You are accustomed to collaborating with different functions and communicate clearly regarding technical solutions. The role requires that you thrive in change and have a solution-oriented approach, where you continuously improve both technology and working methods. At the same time, you have a focus on quality and ensure that you develop solutions that are stable, secure, and long-term sustainable.

You find it easy to collaborate with different competencies and can switch between technical details and a broader holistic perspective. At the same time, you are confident in making decisions within your area and drive the work forward independently. You are also meticulous regarding issues related to security and quality.
