Since the 2008/2009 academic year, Södervikskolan has been an independent school, Södervikskolan AB, owned by Atvexa. The school is beautifully located in nature in the eastern part of Upplands Väsby municipality. At Södervikskolan, approximately 470 students in grades 6–9 work together with 50 adults. We are organized into four work teams, where each team has its own entrance and its own home base with classrooms and lockers. The students' school day begins at 09:00.

Södervikskolan's top priorities are safety and well-being. The school aims to offer a safe place for our students, and safety is a prerequisite for them to reach their goals, both academically and personally. Our approach to and work with the school's value basis is based on Dan Olweus' research on bullying and successful anti-bullying work. We want every student to want and dare to take responsibility and feel involved in their own learning.

We actively work with teaching development in our subject teams, which is why we would love to meet you if you are particularly keen on further developing teaching together with your colleagues.
