Job Responsibilities

As a substitute teacher with us, you may be called in on the same morning or booked for times where we already know that staff is absent. However, these are usually not long-planned shifts but often come quickly and unexpectedly due to illness among the regular staff.

As a collaborator, you work closely with students and teachers. A large part of the job involves building relationships with students and creating structures and routines for them based on their needs and interests. Together with teachers, you plan and carry out the students' school day, and you participate in teacher-led lessons. You are present with the students during all activities, such as breaks, and participate in pedagogical meals. Most importantly for working with students is your ability to create safe relationships with students and their guardians. You challenge students in their learning and use your own creativity and pedagogical knowledge to create the best conditions for each individual to achieve curriculum goals.

We are looking for you who want to work primarily in primary school but also for you who want to work in special needs primary education.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience working with students in grades 4-6 during the school day and can be a support in teaching, but can also work with younger students in lower primary school during leisure time.
• Have experience working with students in grades 1-3 during the school day and can be a support in teaching, but can also work with them during leisure time.
• Collaborate well with others. Relate to others in a listening and smooth manner. Listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way.
• Are socially active in professional contexts. Are communicative and can build and maintain safe relationships.
• Have the ability to put yourself in others' perspectives or situations.
• Communicate clearly. Ensure that messages get through and that expectations are clear for all involved parties.
• Are careful to keep time and are in the right place at the right time.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
