We are looking for an engaged Child Social Worker in Svalöv Municipality
Svalöv Municipality – with a strategic location within the Helsingborg Family – offers proximity, optimism, and a favorable climate for work and life. Good communications make it easy to commute to work. Approximately 14,500 people live here.
The Individual and Family Care unit works to provide support and assistance to children, young people, adults, and families in vulnerable situations. Our mission is to create security, promote good living conditions, and strengthen the individual's independence – always with the person at the center.
Within IFO (Individual and Family Care), there are four units: Investigation and Follow-up, Work, Integration and Welfare, Authority Unit, and Outpatient Care. In total, there are approximately 50 employees working together to make things better for Svalöv's citizens.
We are now sharpening our team and are therefore looking for an engaged and experienced Child Social Worker who wants to be part of our high-quality foster care work.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to work in a operation where you can truly influence children's futures and contribute to security, stability, and development?
As a Child Social Worker in Svalöv Municipality, you will become an important part of a meaningful and society-supporting assignment. You are responsible for following up on the child's situation and ensuring that their basic needs for security, care, and stability are met. Your work includes, among other things:
- Being the responsible social worker for children placed in foster homes according to the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU)
- Maintaining regular contact with the child, birth parents, the foster home, school, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), healthcare, and other relevant actors
- Conducting individual conversations with the child and safeguarding the child's rights and voice in all decisions
- Conducting regular home visits and follow-ups in the foster home
- Conducting investigations, considerations, and working with legal processes
- Making decisions and driving a legally secure work based on current legislation
- Working closely together with foster home social workers who recruit and supervise foster homes

QUALIFICATIONS
- Social Work degree
- Experience with authority enforcement regarding children and young people
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation
- Category B driver's license
