About the workplace

Storgatan Group Housing is an LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residence for people with varying support needs. Six care recipients live here who have been granted a service under LSS Section 9, Paragraph 9, receiving support in their daily lives at home and during leisure time. The way support is provided is described in each care recipient's implementation plan and is based on their wishes, needs, and conditions.

Temporary Care Assistant – Make a Difference in People's Daily Lives!

Are you an engaged and responsible person who wants to make a positive difference in people's lives? We are currently looking for temporary staff for our operations. Here, you will have the opportunity to support individuals in their daily lives and contribute to their independence, participation, and well-being.

Responsibilities

As a temporary assistant with us, you will:

• Support care recipients in their daily lives based on individual implementation plans.
• Motivate and support the individual in a pedagogical manner to achieve set goals.
• Create a safe, structured, and meaningful daily life.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Participate in leisure activities, excursions, and other social contexts.
• Collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professional actors.
• Follow the organization's routines and guidelines according to current legislation.
• Prepare common meals and follow guidelines from the public health and environmental authority.
• Provide support in personal care, such as hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits. In some cases, this includes working with incontinence aids, which requires a safe, respectful, and professional approach with great consideration for the individual's integrity.
• Adapt communication to the individual's ability, for example, through clear and simple language, visual support, or other alternative communication methods (AAC).

We are looking for someone who

• Has strong empathetic skills and can meet each individual based on their specific needs.
• Is confident in providing support during personal care and has a respectful approach in integrity-sensitive situations.
• Understands the importance of integrity, especially regarding personal hygiene and incontinence.
• Can adapt communication based on the individual's cognitive and communicative conditions. You can use clear, simple, and structured language and are open to using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
• Have patience and understanding that some care recipients do not have fully developed language skills.
• Are curious, flexible, and adaptable in your approach.
• Can work independently and make your own decisions in everyday situations.
• Have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work climate.
• Have a solution-oriented attitude.
• Can understand, speak, read, and write Swedish, as the work requires documentation and collaboration with various actors.
