We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Mechanical Engineer with an interest in technically advanced products, problem-solving, and coordination. In this role, you will become part of an R&D team, working closely with several specialist areas and contributing to driving deviation cases forward. About the role:

In this role, you will belong to R&D within medium gas turbines, focusing on the gas turbine itself and components related to, for example, combustion chambers, compressors, turbine modules, heat transfer, aerodynamics, design, strength, materials, test/service, and product integration. The work primarily involves handling deviations and technical issues that may affect several parts of the machine.

You will work on cases related to NCRs (Non-Conformity Reports), as well as customer feedback from the aftermarket, service, and warranty. The role involves identifying what needs to be done, assessing the criticality of a problem, and coordinating the appropriate technical competencies. Detailed technical measures are often carried out by experts within their respective fields, but you play a central role in understanding the big picture, driving the dialogue, and ensuring that cases are moved forward.

You will have many contact points, including production, assembly, purchasing, R&D, service, and other technical departments. Therefore, this role is suitable for you who thrive in a coordinating function, have a good understanding of mechanical engineering, and enjoy collaborating with different specialists to solve technical problems.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university or civil engineering degree, likely in mechanical engineering, technical design, product development, or equivalent.
• Has relevant work experience or more from, for example, design, technical development, production, or a related technical field.
• Has a good understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to see technical connections.
• Has experience working with technical problem-solving in collaboration with several stakeholders.
• Fluently speaks and writes Swedish and English, as both languages are used extensively in the work.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience with deviation management, technical investigations, or quality-related cases.
• Have worked in an environment with complex products, for example, within energy, industry, automotive, aviation, production, or similar.
• Have knowledge of gas turbines, turbomachinery, or other advanced mechanical systems.
• Have experience with design or CAD and wish to work with this to some extent.

As a person, you are curious, communicative, and knowledge-seeking. You enjoy finding information, understanding who needs to be involved, and driving issues forward in a structured way. Since the role involves many contact points, we see that you have good social skills and are easy to create dialogue with different functions. You have a genuine technical interest, enjoy problem-solving, and are motivated by contributing to long-term improvements in an advanced technical environment.
