Welcome to us

Vällingbyskolan is a cozy preschool to grade 9 school located near Vällingby center and beautiful green areas. The school has approximately 750 students and 140 employees. Here, dedicated and experienced staff work every day striving to create the best possible school for our students.

During the last few school years, we have made a targeted investment in strengthening student health work by increasing the number of special education teachers, counselors, and school nurses, as well as by introducing full-time mentors in grades 4–9. During the previous school year, the school also became HBTQ-certified.

The school leadership consists of the principal, three deputy principals, and an administrative manager.

Your role

As a teacher in Swedish and Social Studies, you are responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the compulsory school's steering documents. You are a clear leader in the classroom who creates a learning environment characterized by learning, security, and community.

The assignment requires active work with student participation and the development of students' ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

You are part of work teams and subject teams where collegial collaboration, professional dialogue, and joint development work are central parts of the operations.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' goal fulfillment, good pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged in bringing out the best in students. You who apply:

• are certified and qualified to teach Swedish and Social Studies in grades 7–9
• have good knowledge of the curriculum, steering documents, and systematic quality work
• believe in students' abilities, have high expectations, and are passionate about seeing them grow
• combine pedagogical skill with security, structure, and warmth
