SGDS central IT department is responsible for managing, operating, and further developing the digital platforms, business systems, and infrastructure solutions that keep the entire business running. Through stable operations, high information security, and continuous technical improvement work, a robust IT environment is ensured that supports everything from the daily needs of stores and the logistics chain to sales functions, customer-facing systems, financial processes, sustainability work, analytics platforms, and other central business areas.

The IT department works closely with the business with the mission to deliver scalable, modern solutions that drive digitalization forward throughout the organization, while simultaneously streamlining processes and creating prerequisites for an even stronger and more cohesive customer experience. The IT department is also part of Saint-Gobain Distribution Nordic, and some assignments may take place across borders.

Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for designing and steering end-to-end solutions that support sales processes, customer engagement, and revenue growth. You ensure that business and sales requirements are translated into sustainable solutions in line with the company's overarching architecture principles.

The role involves a holistic perspective on the sales landscape where CRM, CPQ, POS, ERP, and e-commerce collaborate. You work both strategically and operationally, from target architecture and roadmap to concrete solution design and architectural support for project and product teams.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in e-commerce, marketing, sales, and other IT functions. You also support adaptations and configuration of applications to meet unique needs in different companies, with the goal of enabling flexibility without fragmenting the overall architecture.

  • Design and steer solution architecture for sales processes across multiple applications
  • Ensure that solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements
  • Translate business and sales requirements into end-to-end solution designs
  • Ensure standardization, reusability, and long-term sustainability in the integration landscape
  • Support project and product teams with architectural guidance, design reviews, and technical decision-making
  • Contribute to the sales domain's roadmap and target architecture

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • At least 5 years of experience as a solution architect
  • Good understanding of sales processes and customer journeys (B2B and/or B2C)
  • Experience with sales applications such as CRM, CPQ, POS, or e-commerce solutions
  • At least 3 years of experience designing integration solutions, APIs, event-driven flows with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

  • Experience with Salesforce or Infor M3
