Job Description

Welcome to the Authority Unit within the Functional Support Administration in the City of Malmö! Here you will have the opportunity to work in a department characterized by strong team cohesion and active leadership.

As a Social Secretary in social psychiatry, you will meet a wide variety of clients, their relatives, and representatives. The target group consists of individuals with significant difficulties related to mental illness or disabilities. You will investigate interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and collaborate regularly with social services, the region, and other stakeholders. The work is independent, but you are an integral part of a team where good collaboration and a respectful approach are prerequisites for success. As a Social Secretary, Intervention and Support, you are also part of the section's intake and SVU-team (collaboration at discharge), working towards the entire unit. Colleagues, senior social secretaries, managers, and administrative lawyers are close by to provide support in authority matters in daily work.

The goal of the operations is a well-functioning authority practice characterized by legal certainty, good service, and high quality. Our workplace is marked by teamwork, an open climate, and a lack of hierarchy. You, as an employee in the City of Malmö, are our most important asset. Therefore, we care for our staff by offering competence development, external supervision, fitness allowances, flexible working hours, and the possibility to exchange vacation days.

Qualifications

Experience in authority practice according to the Social Services Act (SoL) is required. Previous experience in authority practice with individuals with co-morbidity and homelessness issues is meritorious. Computer literacy and good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.

We are looking for someone who is non-hierarchical, self-assured, and has a service-oriented attitude, while being clear in interactions with clients. To be successful, you must take initiative, be comfortable making decisions according to applicable laws, document thoroughly, and achieve results. We therefore seek someone with a good ability to organize and structure their work independently and experience in dealing with complex issues. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
