About the position

The Department of Community Development consists of three divisions: Citizen Service, Strategic Community Planning, and the Technical Division. The department is responsible for ensuring service to citizens and businesses, strategic planning of community building, as well as the municipality's water and sewage operations, waste management, property management, and project organization as support for these operations during new investments and reinvestments.

This position is located within the Property Division, where you will work as a central support function to the municipality's core operations and handle a broad range of tasks to facilitate the municipality's operations to focus on their core mission.

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing repairs and maintenance.
Handle fault reports and rectify minor problems directly.
Assess what can be solved internally and what needs to be ordered externally.
Contribute to reducing external costs through smart and efficient management.
Create good relationships with the operations.

Qualifications

Experience in practical work within property maintenance, maintenance, construction, operations, or similar.
Broad technical basic competence (e.g., carpentry, simple electrical work, plumbing).
Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and carry out work tasks.
Valid B-driver's license.
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Experience working in municipal operations or larger organizations.
Experience working with fault reports or case management systems.
Experience assessing when work should be performed internally vs. ordered externally.
Vocational education in property, construction, electrical, or plumbing.
